Joey maintains a broad practice in civil litigation, acting in matters involving corporate commercial disputes, professional liability, securities litigation, internal investigations, and administrative law. She has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as at arbitration and before various administrative tribunals. No matter the client, subject matter, or stage of litigation, Joey harnesses her strategic mind, rigorous analysis, and exceptional aptitude for crafting compelling legal argument for her clients’ benefit.

Before joining Adair Goldblatt Bieber, Joey served as a judicial law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She completed her articles at Stikeman Elliott LLP, with a secondment at the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission. Joey also worked as a summer student at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s Legal Services Department, assisting with proceedings before the Consent and Capacity Board and the Ontario Review Board.

Joey earned her law degree from Queen’s University, graduating with the third-highest standing in her class. Throughout her time in law school, she received numerous awards, including the Queen’s Law Prize in Trial Advocacy, the Faskin Martineau Dumoulin LLP Prize in Public Law, and the McDougall-Watson Memorial Award. While in law school, Joey competed in the Laskin administrative law moot and volunteered as a caseworker at the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic.
